Today we got the seed house situated. Started up the three small tractors that spent the winter in its shelter, moved them out (which involved getting gas to put into one of them - luckily the other two pretty much started right up). Something on the internet this evening gave me a flash of summer memory. The temperatures pleasantly in the 80s, the dappled sunlight through the backyard trees, sitting swaying in the hammock. How is it so predictable an occurrence? That the flavor of spring is on the air for less than a week in this the longest of shortest of months. Means I want to be sure to enjoy the final weeks of Real Winter before it melts into spring and is gone for the year. 

 2009 felt like a year of immense change, and while 2010 had more external changes happen in it for me, it was like they weren't my doing because of course that's what follows the first (e)motion. In the spring, there is color - greens of all hues backdrop pinks and purples and yellows and whites. Branches flesh out and a tree becomes less a series of lines and more a shifting shape with leaves that rustle and sigh in the windbreeze.
